Sodium Phosphate [ 32P ] Oral Solution,colloid

1.DESCRIPTION

Sodium Phosphate P-32 Oral Solution is a solution suitable for oral administration and it is mainly used to treat polycythemia vera and primary thrombocytosis. Sodium Phosphate P 32 Solution contains not less than 90% and not more than 110% of the labeled amount of P-32 as phosphate expressed in megabecquerels (microcuries or millicuries) per mL at the time indicated in the labeling. 

2. CLINICAL VALUE

Phosphorus is necessary to the metabolic and proliferative activity of cells. After oral administration, radioactive phosphorus concentrates in rapidly proliferating tissue. In this case, the radioactive agent builds up in the lesion and destroys the affected tissue. Sodium phosphate P-32 decays by beta emission with a physical half-life of 14.3 days. The mean energy of the sodium phosphate P-32 beta particle is 695 keV. P-32 sodium phosphate is indicated for the treatment of polycythemia vera and primary thrombocytosis. It may also be used in the external application for the treatment of some skin diseases. 

3. INDICATIONS 

The principal use of Sodium Phosphate P 32 is for the treatment of polycythemia vera and primary thrombocytosis. It is also used in external application for the treatment of some skin diseases.
